Microbial Energy Device

GELF Energy has developed a waste energy technology which processes sewage and food waste to generate consistent renewable energy that rivals solar and wind technologies. The Microbial Energy Device (MED) introduces an electroactive bacterium that acts to consume volatile fatty acids whcih can limit the amount of energy an anerobic digester can produce. The MED is a patented exterior solution to anaerobic digesters meaning it can be a retrofit solution or installed new. The solution can be used by municipalities to generate water purification and desalination. The process can also be used to produce hydrogen either through steam methane reforming or by providing electricity for electrolysis. MED owners can become fuel providers allowing them to qualify as participants in hydrogen hubs.
