SCIENCE & ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING FOR WATER, WASTEWATER, STORM WATER AND ENERGY
RTI International and GELF Sciences entered an MoU to collaborate on piloting the Microbial Energy System's Roadmap of projects. RTI will provide project management, skilled labor to operate the projects and generate tecno-economic and life cycle analysis.
Director, Renewable Energy and Energy Storage at RTI International
Sameer Parvathikar is a research chemical engineer in RTI’s Technology Advancement and Commercialization business unit. In this capacity, he leads several GELF Energy projects.
Working with the GELF Sciences team, Sameer helps to plan projects from inception to commercialization. He manages the process of building and operating pilot-scale clean energy initiatives to produce zero-carbon hydrogen and ammonia from waste to power industry and transportation sectors.
Sameer is the project manager responsible for operations at the pilot demonstration located at the Mesa Arizona Northwestern wastewater facility. The pilot will demonstrate > 50% reduction in atmospheric carbon by providing power generated by sewage sludge and food waste.
Innovation Advisor
Steve McManus background is in engineering and technology commercialization. He advises GELF Sciences by providing a focus on market research technology-driven market intelligence.
Steve helped to develop a commercialization roadmap for GELF Energy proving valuable market research resulting in a pathway leading to a Roadmap of projects.
Steve is leading the commercialization information highway for GELF Energy transformational waste to hydrogen technologies. He outlined a step by step approach identifying key areas and provided contact information key to the success of bringing the Microbial Energy System to market.
Senior Economist
Jeffrey Petrusa is a Senior Economist who specializes in the development and application of economic models to analyze the impacts of environmental, energy, waste transportation and agriculture policies on the energy, waste, agriculture, transportation and the economic impacts of greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation technologies on projected GHG emissions.
His work at GELF Sciences will be to develop techno-economic models and life cycle analysis for pilot projects. He will also collaborate on a a feasibility study for full new installations or retrofitted digesters after the pilot is completed.
Mr. Petrusa is an expert at developing greenhouse gas marginal abatement cost curves and techno-economic models for renewable energy and greenhouse gas mitigation technologies. He also provides energy and transportation system modeling and analysis.
His work at GELF Sciecnes will be included in Department of Energy's grant applications and Help GELF Energy's customers to understand the financial, societal and environmental benefits of the Microbial Energy System.
